OVERVIEW

Pakistan Navy manifested concept of Operational Sea Training (OST) with designation of Commodore Sea Training (CST) in 1989 with an aim to conduct Ops Sea Training of Surface Ships only. Later, in 1996 the organization was elevated as Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) headed by an Officer of the rank of Rear Admiral. Over the years, FOST organization has expanded to include Sub-Surface, Aviation, Special Operations Forces and Marines (SOF&M), Ashore Training Evaluation Wings and Doctrine Development Cell.
